By Marlena O
When I close my eyes i can see it so clearly
Hands joined together,
Running down the street in the moonlight
Filled with the adrenaline of rebellion
Hoodies thrown over bathing suits,
Hair tangled from the air,
Salt on our skin
No matter how many showers we take
Of all of them,
Our story is my favorite chapter,
One i wish would never end,
But like all good things, we have an expiration date.
This summer is lived on in photographs
In scars from falling off our bikes,
In the faded strands of pink in our hair,
Our memories wont ever die
