Time Has No Touch

By Amanda R

I have never touched time

And neither has he for me

What blessings cost a dime

I never afforded as he ought to flee

Away from my skin- my teeth

I watched him go by over every street

Fluttering feverously above thousands of heaths

Contained & constant never missing a beat

I’d figured I'd bloom

Then welt by the hour

Though I hung abloom

Flowered- remaining in power

My petals still high my skin perfectly tight

Not stung by bees but a favored look

A look untouched, out of reach only seen in light

As time never sinks its hook

For time had escaped me

As I did to him

His curse never blessed me

His touch laid only on others
