Story Excerpt by Christa S

Once upon a time there was nothing. No air, no stars, and no sun. There were no people, no ally cats or street dogs, no apes or fish no life at all. No planets, water or direction and no land. No buildings or economy or color or motion. There was absolutely nothing. No mind or high god or goddess that made things appear of their will no science that could cause it.
Nothing made it things appear then they just were. Planets, water, air, life, structure they made them self. Humans were an enigma for some time, but one thing was clear they all had love, well all but one girl, she was empty. Humans became less of an enigma, and this girl became more and more. Of course, she felt lonely and it was not because she was alone. She was always surrounded by people who tried to love her back into normal society. It was suffocating.
Think about millions of people at all hours watching, hugging, praying to a god that they swear created humans and this defected girl. Imagine trying to sleep but having nightmares of heart surgery instead of all the other children’s dreams of warm fire.
