A Poem by Clara O.
Enormous doors of oak that are 3x as tall as me I’M 5’7 Sparkling chandeliers that make the floor glow China and cutlery from ancient weddings Sitting rooms with creepy drapery An endless number of bedrooms They all have themes… why?! That isn’t very palace-y There are only so many crullers a table can hold and it is going to tip over Which it does Many housekeepers bustle about the palace to dispose of the crullers They move close to the speed of light The damaged crullers are gone, poof, non-existent 30 mins later the table is filled with danishes I have to leave the palace But you better believe I will be back... With a basket for those danishes
