Alice climbed off the tree in the backyard. She slipped off the branch like honey on a spoon. So gracefully her skirt flew up like an open umbrella. She calmly smoothed her skirt down with her hands. She started walking across a large green field filled with wildflowers and animals. Crickets chirped in the afternoon light. She brushed her hands against the tall grass and breathed in a sigh of relief. She hummed a little song under her breath.

"The grass is greener on this side, when I try to tell my story I know someone has lied." She sang. Her melody flowed through the breeze like a whisper on the summer wind. The wings of a bird flutter near her and danced around her with its beautiful colors of red and blue. It chirped a suprised sound and flew off in the direction of the sun. Alice watched and spun around before walking off in the direction of her house.

"Goodnight sun." She said softly. "And goodnight world."
