It is 60 degrees outside this morning, but it is cold.
I work out, out of breath, but I am shivering.
The air is nowhere near freezing, but uncomfortably brisk.
The energy of those around me reflects all of it.
It is tense.
It is a thin metal chord under incense amounts of weight.
I imagine I can see it starting to snap
from the inside out.
Their weight is placed on a very high shelf
only they can see.
No one seems to bother taking the time
to climb a ladder and explore why
the chord is under so much pressure.
How silly would it be
For a person to ask, and explore, and search, and question.
Instead of taking their first sight, their first thought,
As reality.
Well, that would simply require much more time and energy.
Why would anyone imagine the beautiful butterfly to have relations with the flightless caterpillar?
That would just be silly nonsense.
And still, somebody had questions and wonders and -
Oh! Look how much we have learned.
Little children are in a constant state of learning
So for them, there is no one absolute truth.
Only curiosities.
This process aids learning, kindness, and growth.
Next, they are taught
Their questions, comments, their ideas, and imagines are not very
Smart, not very real, nor are they helpful.
They are all simply silly nonsense.
This too, the children learn.
It is one of the last things they will ever discover.
