A poem by Molly B.
I look around
Finally finding my friend. My portal
Letting myself get pulled in
Seeing worlds far and wide
Magical lands and terrible beasts
Wizards and prophecies
I leaf through the pages
My hands craving the feel of paper, almost racing to the end
I need the ending
As a child needs its mother
I open other portals to
A British man too smart for his own good,
The power of the Mocking jay,
A boy with a lightning scar,
The son of a sea god,
And so much more
I find my world
They may look like just books,
But they’re portals to amazing places
