People say life is an art

It’s a masterpiece

A beautiful haunting terrifyingly gorgeous masterpiece

But the problem with this masterpiece is that no one sees what goes on in the process of making it

The mistakes people say others will never know about

But the truth always comes out

No matter what, the ugliness is always revealed in the end

No matter what, the harsh reality hits when you least want it to

It’s a dark and tortuous and cruel, sugar coated lie that will eventually come to light

Everyone tries to hide everything but some things need to be seen

People need to wake up from the daydreams inside their heads and realize that this is not a masterpiece

Their worlds will collapse if they keep hiding

If they open up they have a better chance of keeping it together then acting like they can

They need to open their eyes because they won’t be able to sleep through the world burning around them

The perfect painting they once knew as a child is gone as they grow old because now there is no one to shield them from what we used to call a wonderful thing

In reality life is life

A beautiful haunting terrifyingly gorgeous masterpiece

A journey with ups and downs, twists and turns.

We act like it’s incredible but at the same time our perfect painting erupts in flames because we are in denial

It is not flawless, it is flawed

We cannot outrun the embers

We cannot live in our perfect little broken masterpiece any longer

We need to make life the masterpiece we assume it is
